I’m Rishi Bansal — a technology executive with 15+ years of experience building and running enterprise infrastructure at scale. Currently I serve as Senior Director of Global Infrastructure & Shared Services at Tory Burch, where I lead all aspects of infrastructure — cloud, SRE, network, and AI deployment — for a global luxury fashion brand.
My career has taken me from hands-on systems and security engineering to leading large organizations through real transformation — cloud migrations, AI adoption programs, SRE buildouts, and the kind of infrastructure decisions that determine whether a company’s technology holds up under pressure or falls apart.
A few highlights along the way:
- Built and operationalized a global SRE practice at Bed Bath & Beyond, taking critical application availability from 90% to 99.9% while migrating a major e-commerce platform to Google Cloud Platform
- Led enterprise security transformation as Director of Security Engineering, building zero trust architecture, SecDevOps practices, and a multi-year security roadmap
- Deployed AI workloads and established enterprise AI governance programs, including agentic AI frameworks, policy, and cross-functional adoption standards
- Started my career in retail infrastructure — which means I understand both the business pressures and the technical debt that enterprise technology leaders deal with every day
Why this blog?
I’m writing here to share what I know and what I’m still learning. AI is moving fast — faster than most organizations can absorb — and I want to document the practitioner perspective: what actually works, what the hype misses, and how enterprise leaders can think clearly about it.
I’m also genuinely excited about this space and want to be part of the conversation.
